브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KB국민은행은 신생기업의 안정적인 성장을 지원하는 ‘KB유니콘클럽’ 5기에 참여할 기업을 모집한다고 25일 밝혔다.
‘KB유니콘클럽’은 국내 스타트업 생태계 활성화와 신생기업과의 동반성장을 목표로 하는 스타트업 육성 프로그램이다. 유망 스타트업을 발굴하고 유니콘 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공한다.
2021년부터 작년까지 총 46개의 스타트업이 ‘KB유니콘클럽’에 참여했으며, 이 중 다수의 기업이 프로그램 참여 이후 △우수디자인 어워드 △CES 혁신상 △에디슨어워드 등 국내외 권위 있는 시상식에서 주요 부문을 수상하며 사업성과 혁신성을 인정받았다.
모집 대상은 예비 창업자부터 창업 3년 이하인 초기 스타트업이다. △신산업 분야 진출 △혁신 기술 보유 △글로벌 확장 가능성 등 잠재력을 가진 기업이면 누구나 신청할 수 있다.
‘KB유니콘클럽’에 선정된 10개 기업에게는 △경기창조경제혁신센터 투자 검토 △워킹스페이스 입주 기회 △스타트업-투자자 간 네트워킹 △스타트업 맞춤형 엑셀러레이팅 △글로벌 진출 지원 △전문가 심화 멘토링 등 스타트업에 필요한 성장 단계별 맞춤형 프로그램이 제공된다.
모집기간은 오는 5월 6일까지로, 참가 신청은 경기창조경제혁신센터 홈페이지에서 가능하다.
KB국민은행 관계자는 “미래를 이끌어갈 열정과 잠재력을 지닌 스타트업들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 스타트업이 경쟁력과 사업 역량을 갖출 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, KB금융그룹은 2015년부터 금융권 최초의 스타트업 육성 프로그램인 ‘KB스타터스’를 운영하며 미래 성장 가능성이 높은 스타트업을 지원하고 있다. 현재까지 육성 스타트업은 301개, 누적 투자금액은 2267억원으로 KB금융은 실효성 높은 투자·제휴 지원 등을 통해 스타트업의 기업 가치를 제고하는 데 앞장서고 있다.
