[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 28일 제1회 추가경정예산안을 1조 9400억원 규모로 편성해 시의회에 제출했다고 밝혔다.
이는 본예산 1조7981억원보다 1419억원(7.9%) 증액된 것으로, 대형산불 등 재난 대응과 지역경제 활성화를 위한 현안사업에 중점을 뒀다.
회계별로는 일반회계가 1조6151억원, 특별회계가 3249억원으로, 지방교부세와 국도비 보조금, 순세계잉여금 등이 재원으로 활용됐다.
이번 추경을 보면 재난·재해 대비 및 도시 안전 강화를 위해 진주소방서 신축 대상 부지 매입 12억원, 은하수초 보도육교 설치 10억원, 산불방지대책 6억5000만원 등이 편성됐다.
또 시는 급경사지 정비공사, 방아교차로 개선, 재해복구사업 등도 새롭게 포함했다.
복지 분야는 고령화 및 사회적 약자 지원을 위해 안락공원 현대화 20억원, 리본센터 설치 19억6000만원, 아동복지센터와 장난감은행 설치 등의 복지시설 예산이 포함됐다.
문화관광 분야에도 남강변 다목적문화센터 건립 80억원, 문화도시 조성 60억원, 진양호공원 무장애 데크로드 설치, 월아산 치유의 숲 조성 등이다.
체육시설 확충을 위해 정촌 수영장, 조정체험장, 야외스케이트장 등도 예산에 반영됐으며, 교통 인프라 개선과 도시계획도로 확장, 공영주차장 조성 등도 추진된다.
조규일 진주시장은 “이번 추경은 주요 현안사업과 침체된 지역경제에 활력을 불어넣기 위한 것이다”며“예산이 확정되는 대로 사업을 속도감 있게 진행하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 진주시가 제출한 2025년도 제1회 추경예산안은 오는 5월 7일부터 15일까지 열리는 제265회 임시회에서 심의의결을 거쳐 최종 확정될 예정이다.
