충남 태안군이 꽃게 자원량 회복 및 어업 소득 증대를 위해 총사업비 50억 원을 투입하는 '꽃게 산란·서식장 조성 사업'을 본격 추진한다.
군은 최근 한국수산업경영인 태안군연합회 회의실에서 관계자 및 어업인 등 12명이 참석한 가운데 사업 착수보고회를 개최하고 올해 추진 계획을 논의했다.
이 사업은 오는 2026년까지 남면에서 근흥면에 이르는 해역에 꽃게 산란 및 서식 환경을 조성하는 것을 목표로 하며, 2022년 해양수산부 공모 선정으로 국비 25억 원을 확보한 바 있다 .
2022년부터 2023년까지 매년 30개의 산란 시설물을 설치하고 철거하는 작업과 함께 사각형 어초 및 자연석 투석 등을 진행해 왔다.
올해는 꽃게 종자 방류, 외포란 생산·관리, 산란 시설물 추가 설치 등을 추진할 계획입니다. 또한, 서식지 개선을 위해 해적생물을 구제하고 자연석 투석 작업도 진행할 예정이다.
군은 이번 사업이 성공적으로 마무리되면 태안 해역 특화 수산 품종인 꽃게의 자원량 회복은 물론, 고부가가치 품종의 안정적인 공급을 통해 어업 소득이 크게 늘어날 것으로 기대하고
