이번 설명회는 조사기관인 경북대학교 방사선과학연구소(소장 이세욱)가 주관하며, 한울원전 인근 지역(부구, 죽변, 매화 등 18개 지점)에서 채취한 총 764개의 시료(한울본부 채취 682개, 주민 공동 채취 82개)를 대상으로 실시한 환경방사능 조사 결과를 상세히 공개할 예정이다.
설명회에는 지역 주민, 언론 관계자, 그리고 한울원전환경감시위원 등이 참석하여 조사 결과를 공유하고 관련 질의응답 시간을 가질 예정이다.
한울본부는 원전 운영에 따른 주변 환경 영향을 지속적으로 모니터링하고 있으며, 조사 결과를 투명하게 공개함으로써 지역 사회와의 신뢰를 구축해 나갈 방침이다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanul Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters (Director Lee Se-yong) announced that it will hold a ‘2024 Hanul Headquarters Environmental Radiation Survey Results Resident Briefing Session’ at the Deokgu Hot Springs Hotel in Uljin on May 16th.
This briefing session will be hosted by the Kyungpook National University Radiation Science Research Institute (Director Lee Se-wook), the research institute, and will disclose in detail the results of the environmental radiation survey conducted on a total of 764 samples (682 collected by Hanul Headquarters, 82 collected jointly by residents) collected from 18 locations near the Hanul Nuclear Power Plant (Bugoo, Jukbyeon, Maehwa, etc.).
The briefing session will be attended by local residents, media members, and Hanul Nuclear Power Plant Environmental Monitoring Committee members to share the survey results and hold a Q&A session.
