背水之陣(배수지진)이라 했다. 강을 등지고 진을 친 군사처럼, 지금 국민의힘은 더 이상 물러설 수 없는 벼랑 끝에 서 있다. 다가오는 대선은 단순한 정권 재창출의 문제가 아니다. 보수의 존립, 나아가 자유민주주의 체제의 운명이 걸려 있다. 이재명의 집권은 단순한 권력 교체가 아닌, 정당의 해체와 국가 체제의 전환이라는 역사적 위기를 불러올 것이다.

그러나 지금 당내 곳곳에서는 위기감 대신, 여전히 정치적 계산과 셈법이 오가고 있다. 한동훈의 정제된 이미지 뒤에 감춰진 모호한 침묵, 홍준표의 반복되는 이탈성 언행, 한덕수의 무기력한 거리두기, 친윤계(친 윤석열 계의 준말)를 비롯한 영남권 중진들의 방관은 국민 눈에 모두 기득권 정치의 무책임한 자화상으로 비치고 있다. 이러한 태도는 도광양회(韜光養晦)가 아니라, 책임을 회피한 얄팍한 탐욕에 불과하다. 당은 분열되고, 민심은 등을 돌리고 있다. 보수 정치의 리더십은 실종되었고, 무거운 침묵만이 당의 앞길을 가로막고 있다.
이제 결단이 필요하다. 정치는 타산이 아닌, 때를 읽고 책임을 지는 용기에서 진가를 발휘한다. 당내 갈등은 뒤로 미루고, 보수의 가치를 지키기 위해 모든 세력이 하나로 힘을 모아야 할 때다.
희생과 헌신이 탐욕을 이길 때, 진정한 지도자는 탄생한다.

People Power Party, Nowhere to Back Down! ... We Need Politics of Determination!!

It was called a backwater siege. Like a soldier who has set up camp with his back to the river, the People Power Party is now standing on the edge of a cliff from which it can no longer retreat. The upcoming presidential election is not simply a matter of re-creating the regime. The existence of conservatism, and furthermore, the fate of the liberal democratic system, is at stake. Lee Jae-myung’s rise to power will not simply bring about a change of power, but a historical crisis of the dissolution of the party and the transformation of the national system.
However, instead of a sense of crisis, political calculations and arithmetic are still taking place throughout the party. The ambiguous silence hidden behind Han Dong-hoon’s refined image, Hong Joon-pyo’s repeated deviant remarks and actions, Han Deok-soo’s listless distancing, and the inaction of the Yeongnam region’s leading figures, including the pro-Yoon faction (short for the pro-Yoon Seok-yeol faction), are all seen by the public as an irresponsible self-portrait of vested-interest politics. This attitude is not hiding the light and slacking off, but is nothing more than shallow greed that evades responsibility. The party is divided, and public sentiment is turning its back. The leadership of conservative politics has disappeared, and only heavy silence blocks the party’s path forward.
Now is the time for a decision. Politics is not about calculation, but about the courage to read the moment and take responsibility. It is time to put aside internal conflicts and for all forces to unite as one to protect conservative values.
When sacrifice and dedication overcome greed, a true leader is born.
The party’s elders and responsible figures must no longer remain silent. There is not much time left. The only opportunity is this moment. People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moon-soo must face the weight of history. The current division means defeat, and that defeat means dissolution. There is no place to retreat anymore.
