대통령경호처가 15일 오는 10월 '경주 2025 APEC(아시아태평양경제협력체) 정상회의' 경호안전 분야를 총괄하는 경호안전통제단을 구성했다고 밝혔다.
경호안전통제단은 경호작전·테러정보지원·경찰작전·군작전·소방작전·해양경찰작전본부 등 6개 본부로 조직됐다.
또 각국 정상 등 대표단 신변안전과 정상회의장 포함 모든 행사장·숙소·공항 등에 대한 안전관리를 책임지는 가운데 경제인·부대행사 등 모든 행사 안전을 관리한다.
경호처는 "한 치 빈틈없는 경호안전을 제공한다는 방침"이라며 "각국 정상·대표단·각 장관·경제 주체들이 대한민국 영공에 진입할 때부터 떠나는 순간까지 작전본부·관계기관의 유기적 일원화된 지휘체계를 통해 완벽한 경호작전 태세를 유지할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
