[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 2025년 민선 8기 전국 기초단체장 공약이행평가에서 최우수 등급인 SA를 획득했다고 16일 밝혔다. 이로써 김해시는 3년 연속 최고 평가를 달성했다.
한국매니페스토실천본부가 주관한 이번 평가는 전국 226개 기초지차체를 대상으로 2024년 12월 말 기준 공약사업 이행 실적을 ▲공약이행완료 ▲목표 달성 ▲주민 소통 ▲웹 소통 ▲공약 일치도 등 5개 분야로 세분화해서 검증한 뒤 SA부터 F까지 6단계 등급을 부여하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
이 가운데 SA 등급은 100점 만점 기준 87점 이상을 획득한 지자체에만 주어지는 최상위 등급으로 도내 8개 시 가운데 김해시가 유일하게 이름을 올렸다. 특히 부산·경남을 통틀어 3년 연속 ‘최우수’ 성적을 받은 지자체 역시 김해가 유일하다.
김해시는 민선 8기 총 144개 공약사업 가운데 작년 말 기준 총 77개 사업(53.47%)을 완료했고 나머지 67개 사업도 계획에 따라 순조롭게 진행되고 있다.

무엇보다 도내 최초로 ‘시민배심원제’를 도입해 한국매니페스토실천본부가 무작위로 선발한 시민들이 공약의 수립부터 점검까지 전 과정에 직접 참여하고 이행 현황을 상시 공개하는 등 실질적 수혜자인 시민과의 ‘소통’에 주력한 점이 높이 평가됐다.
한편 김해시는 앞서 지난 1월 (사)한국공공자치연구원이 전국 226개 기초지자체를 대상으로 실시한 ‘한국지방자치 경쟁력지수(KLCI)’ 평가에서 전국 시 단위 16위(경영자원 부문 전국 6위), 경남 1위에 선정됐다. 2년 연속 상위 20위권 내 진입한 도내 유일의 도시로 기록되며 민선 8기 김해시정의 생산성과 경쟁력을 입증했다.
