이번 사업은 주민들이 직접 지역 내 문제점을 발굴하고 해결 방안을 실행하는 프로그램을 지원함으로써 지속 가능한 도시재생을 실현하는 것을 목표로 한다.
이번 공모사업은 후포면 도시재생 사업대상지 내 5인 이상의 주민 모임 또는 단체라면 누구나 신청할 수 있다. 지원 분야는 ▲공동체 활성화 ▲마을 자원 조사 ▲소규모 환경 개선 ▲경제 및 상권 활성화 등 도시재생과 관련된 폭넓은 사업 영역을 포함한다.
공모 접수는 오는 5월 28일까지 진행되며, 접수된 신청서는 심사를 거쳐 선정된다. 선정된 팀은 실무 교육을 이수한 후 7월부터 11월까지 약 5개월간 사업을 수행하게 된다.
선정된 사업에는 최대 500만 원 이내의 사업비가 지원될 예정이다. 신청 절차 및 자세한 사항은 후포면 도시재생현장지원센터를 통해 안내받을 수 있다.
김한주 도시새마을과장은 "주민이 주체가 되는 도시재생을 통해 지역의 활력을 높이고, 지역 공동체가 스스로 문제를 해결해 나가는 기반을 마련하고자 한다"며, "많은 주민들의 적극적인 관심과 참여를 기대한다"고 말했다. 울진군은 이번 주민공모사업을 통해 후포면 도시재생의 성공적인 추진과 지역 주민들의 삶의 질 향상을 도모할 계획이다.
