이번 회의는 공공보건의료 협력 체계를 강화하고, 경주권(경주·영천·경산·청도) 내 보건의료 기관 간 소통과 협력을 활성화하기 위해 마련됐으며, 신혜경 병원장을 비롯해 경상북도 공공보건의료지원단장, 경주시·영천시·경산시·청도군 보건소장, 경주시 복지정책과장, 지역사회보장협의체 공동위원장 등 37명이 참석했다.
회의에서는 ▲2024년 공공보건의료 협력체계 구축사업 실적 보고, ▲2025년 책임의료기관사업 개요 및 추진 방향 소개, ▲지역 내 기관 간 유기적 협력 확대 방안 등이 심도 있게 논의됐다.
신혜경 병원장은 “동국대경주병원은 지역의 필수의료 기반을 튼튼히 하기 위해 어려운 여건 속에서도 교수진 충원 등 의료 인력 확보에 최선을 다하고 있다”며, “앞으로도 책임의료기관으로서 지역민에게 보다 나은 공공의료 서비스를 제공하는 데 충실하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 동국대경주병원은 보건복지부가 지정한 경주권 지역책임의료기관으로, 2024년부터 지역 내 보건소, 소방서 등 유관기관과 함께 공공의료본부를 중심으로 ▲퇴원환자의 지역사회 연계, ▲중증·응급환자 이송 및 전원, ▲진료 협력체계 구축 등 다양한 지역 의료 협력 사업을 추진 중이다.
