브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대선후보는 24일 2017년 대선 당시 '부정선거론'에 동조하는 발언을 했다는 지적에 "부정선거를 했다는 것이 아니다"라고 재차 부인했다.
이재명 후보는 이날 경기 부천 한 대안학교에서 유권자 간담회를 가진 뒤 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "(내가 그런 말을 했는지) 모르겠다. 하도 오래 전 일이라 정확한 기억이 없다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
이 후보는 "제 기억으로는 국정원 댓글 조작을 통한 선거 부정을 주로 이야기했던 것 같다"며 "당시 수개표를 해야 하는 것 아니냐(는 주장이었다)"고 말했다.
이어 "부정선거를 했다는 것이 아니고 그런 우려가 있었던 것 같다"라며 "수개표, 즉각 개표하는 게 확실하지 않냐는 그런 이야기가 있었던 것 같다"고 기억을 더듬어 말했다.
이 후보는 전날 대선후보 2차 TV토론회에서 19대 대선 직후 자신이 제기했던 부정선거론은 '국정원 댓글 여론조작'을 문제 삼는 취지였다며, "윤석열 전 대통령이나 김문수 후보가 관심 갖는 투·개표를 조작했다는 차원의 부분이 아니다"라고 말했다.
한편 이재명 후보는 2017년 1월 7일 자신의 트위터에서 "지난 대선은 3·15 부정선거를 능가하는 부정선거였다"며 "국가기관의 대대적 선거 개입에 개표 부정까지. 투표소 수개표로 개표 부정을 원천 차단 해야 한다"고 적었다.
