충남 부여군이 지역 내 정원문화 활성화와 새로운 관광자원 창출을 위한 행보에 나선다.
군은 ‘2025년 부여군 우수정원 콘테스트 - 부여 정원백서(庭園白書)’를 열고, 오는 6월 20일까지 참가 신청을 받는다고 26일 밝혔다.
이번 공모전은 지역 곳곳에서 개인이나 공동체가 가꿔온 아름다운 정원을 발굴하고, 정원문화를 지역사회 전반으로 확산시키기 위해 기획됐다. 군은 이를 통해 정원을 단순한 조경을 넘어 관광과 문화 콘텐츠로 연결하고자 한다.
공모 분야는 총 세 가지로 나뉜다. '50㎡ 이상 규모의 정원을 갖춘 단독·다가구 주택을 대상으로 하는 주택형', '상가 건물 또는 상가 부지 내 조경공간을 가꾸는 점포주·상가공동체 대상의 상가형’, '주민이 협력해 공용 공간을 정원화한 공동체형’이 해당된다.
지원 방법은 이메일 접수를 통해 가능하며, 참가자는 신청서와 정원 사진, 개인정보 수집·이용 동의서를 함께 제출해야 한다. 이후 접수된 작품은 6월 24일 서류심사와 27일 현장심사를 거쳐, 부문별로 총 6개의 우수정원이 최종 선정될 예정이다.
심사는 두 단계로 진행된다. 1차 서류심사에서는 정원의 기획력, 설계의 적정성, 창의성, 지속가능성, 지역성과 같은 요소가 30점 배점으로 평가된다. 이어지는 현장심사에서는 정원의 주제 적합도, 식재 조화와 생육상태, 관리 상태, 대중성 및 관광 자원으로서의 가치 등을 기준으로 70점 만점 평가가 이뤄진다.
수상자에게는 부문별 상금 50만 원과 함께 우수정원 인증 명패가 수여되며, 2025 백제문화제 기간 중 운영되는 ‘공동 팝업 정원 조성 프로그램’에 참여할 수 있는 기회도 제공된다.
부여군 관계자는 “지역사회 구성원들의 참여를 통해 우수 정원을 발굴하고 아름답고 쾌적한 정원문화의 가치를 확산시키는 계기를 모색하고자 이번 콘테스트를 마련했다”며 “우수정원은 향후 백제문화제와 연계해 새로운 관광자원으로 활용할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
