올해 청소년페스티벌은 경북지역 청소년들이 끼와 재능을 발휘하며 건강한 소통을 나누는 문화의 장으로, 댄스와 밴드 부문에 걸쳐 총 30개 팀이 참가해 열띤 경연을 펼쳤다.
울진 죽변고등학교 소속 밴드동아리인 ‘이칸도(ICANDO)’는 ‘Die With A Smile’이라는 곡을 열창하며 관객의 떼창을 유도하는 무대 매너와 뛰어난 가창력, 탄탄한 연주 실력으로 호평을 받으며 장려상의 영예를 안았다.
울진군은 지난 2008년부터 지역 청소년들이 주도적으로 참여하는 축제를 조성해왔으며, 청소년 동아리 활동을 적극 지원해 문화 감수성을 높이고 재능을 펼칠 수 있는 환경을 마련하고 있다.
한편, 울진군은 오는 6월 7일 연호공원 야외무대에서 관내 청소년 동아리 공연과 체험 프로그램이 어우러진 ‘2025 울진군 청소년어울림마당’을 개최할 예정이다.
손병복 울진군수는 “청소년들이 자신만의 재능을 자유롭게 표현하고 도전할 수 있는 무대를 계속해서 마련하겠다”며 “청소년들이 건강하고 행복하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 문화 활동을 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Uljin-gun Youth Band ‘Ikando’ Wins Encouragement Award at Gyeongbuk Youth Festival

Uljin-gun Mayor Son Byeong-bok said, “We will continue to provide stages where youths can freely express and challenge their own talents,” and “We will actively support various cultural activities so that youths can grow up healthy and happy.”
