한설 예비역 장군(육군 소장)은 5월31일 이버넷 저널인 페이스북에 “한국정치세력의 파괴와 해체 그리고 청산이 새로운 창조의 조건”이라는 제목의 글을 게재했다.
한설 예비역 장군은 진보-보수 두 진영이 각각 승리했을 때를 예상하는 전망을 내놨다.

한설 예비역 장군은 “이번 선거에서 이재명의 당선이 가장 유리하다. 그렇게 되면 국민의힘을 주도하고 있는 정치세력은 철저하게 청산되어야 한다. 이번 계엄과 그 이후 이어진 여러 가지 문제는 국민의힘을 주도하고 있는 정치세력들이 청산되고 파괴되어야 하는 충분한 이유라고 하겠다. 김문수가 패배하면, 한덕수와 단일화에 실패한 책임을 져야 할 것이다. 이와 함께 홍준표와 한동훈도 패배에 대한 책임을 져야 한다. 홍준표와 한동훈은 이중으로 국민의힘의 등에 칼을 꽂은 자들”이라면서 “김문수가 대선에서 패배하고 나서 이런 자들이 다시 등장하지 못하도록 해야 할 것이다. 대선 막판에 김문수와 단일화를 거부한 이준석도 대구 경북 지역에서 철저하게 외면 받게 될 것이다. 물론 계엄으로 이번 사태를 초래한 윤석열과 윤핵관들도 모두 청산되어야 한다. 그래야 다시 국민의힘이 새롭게 도약하고 출발할 수 있는 공간이 생길 것”이라고 진단했다.
한설 예비역 장군은 이어 “김문수가 당선되면 이재명을 중심으로 한 더불어민주당도 철저하게 청산되고 해체되어야 한다는 점에서 예외는 아니라고 하겠다. 국민의힘은 새롭게 거듭나기가 어렵지만 이재명이 패배하게 되면 더불어민주당은 환골탈태할 기회를 오히려 더 쉽게 맞이할 수 있을 것이다. 이재명을 위시한 친명(친 재명의 준말)계열, 개딸(개혁의 딸들의 준말)들은 완전하게 축출되어야 할 것”이라고 피력했다.
이 글의 결론 부분에서 “이재명과 그 세력은 이번 대선에서 승리하더라도 결국은 퇴출되는 과정을 겪게 될 수밖에 없을 것이라고 생각한다. 이재명이 대통령이 되어서 국민의힘이 말하는 괴물독재체제를 구축한다고 하더라도, 그 체제가 오래갈 수 없다는 것은 명확하다. 초반에는 퍼주기를 해서 대중의 환심을 산다고 해도, 시간이 지나면 결국 추락하는 한국경제의 압박을 피할 수 없을 것이기 때문이다. 이재명의 능력과 실력으로는 현재 한국이 직면한 대내외 도전과 위기를 극복하기 어려울 것이다. 이재명은 임기를 마치는 것도 쉽지 않을 것이며, 설사 임기를 마친다고 해도 그 이후에는 어떤 방식으로든 사법처리를 모면하기 어렵다. 이재명이 대통령이 되면 그 때부터 친명세력의 해체가 시작된다고 보아도 무방할 것”이라면서 “문제는 그런 빈 공간에 어떤 사람들 어떤 정치세력들이 등장하느냐 하는 것이다. 아직은 알 수 없겠지만 양심적이고 정상적이며 도덕적이며 유능한 사람들이 유입될 수 있는가는 전적으로 호남 대중의 태도에 달려 있을 것이라고 생각한다. 그렇게 되려면 한국이 한번은 매우 어려운 시련을 겪어야 할 것이다. IMF 보다 더 어려운 상황에 직면해야 대중들은 자신들의 선택으로 인한 결과에 대한 책임을 스스로 져야 한다는 것을 비로소 깨닫게 될 것이라고 생각한다.”고 덧붙였다.
Retired General Han Seol: “If Kim Moon-soo is elected, the Democratic Party of Korea will have a chance to transform itself”
Even if Lee Jae-myung wins this presidential election, he will inevitably have to go through the process of being ousted

Retired General Han Seol (Army Major General) posted an article titled “Destruction, dissolution, and liquidation of Korean political power are conditions for new creation” on Facebook, an Internet Journal, on May 31.
Retired General Han Seol presented his predictions for when the progressive and conservative camps each win.
General Han Seol, a retired general, said, “Lee Jae-myung’s victory is the most advantageous in this election. If that happens, the political forces leading the People’s Power Party must be thoroughly liquidated. The various problems that have followed this martial law are sufficient reasons for the political forces leading the People’s Power Party to be liquidated and destroyed. If Kim Moon-soo loses, he will have to take responsibility for failing to unify with Han Deok-soo. Hong Joon-pyo and Han Dong-hoon must also take responsibility for the defeat. Hong Joon-pyo and Han Dong-hoon are the ones who stabbed the People’s Power Party in the back twice,” and diagnosed, “After Kim Moon-soo loses the presidential election, we must prevent such people from appearing again. Lee Jun-seok, who refused to unify with Kim Moon-soo at the end of the presidential election, will also be thoroughly shunned in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions. Of course, Yoon Seok-yeol and Yoon Haek-kwan, who caused this situation with martial law, must all be liquidated. Only then will the People’s Power Party have a space to make a new leap forward and start again.” General Han Seol, a retired general, continued, “If Kim Moon-soo is elected, the Democratic Party of Korea centered around Lee Jae-myung must also be thoroughly liquidated and dismantled. It will be difficult for the People Power Party to be reborn, but if Lee Jae-myung loses, the Democratic Party of Korea will have an easier time reinventing itself. The pro-Myung (short for pro-Jae-myung) faction, including Lee Jae-myung, and the Gaetdal (short for daughters of reform) factions must be completely ousted.” In the concluding part of this article, he said, “Even if Lee Jae-myung and his forces win this presidential election, I think they will eventually have to go through the process of being ousted. Even if Lee Jae-myung becomes president and establishes the monster dictatorship that the People Power Party calls it, it is clear that the system cannot last long. Even if he initially gives out gifts to win the favor of the public, he will eventually be unable to avoid the pressure of the collapsing Korean economy as time goes by. It will be difficult for Lee Jae-myung to overcome the domestic and international challenges and crises that Korea is currently facing with his abilities and capabilities. It will not be easy for Lee Jae-myung to finish his term, and even if he does finish his term, it will be difficult to avoid legal action in any way after that. If Lee Jae-myung becomes president, it is safe to say that the disintegration of the pro-Myeong forces will begin at that point.” He added, “The question is what kind of people and what kind of political forces will emerge in that empty space. We do not know yet, but I think that whether conscientious, normal, moral, and competent people can flow in will depend entirely on the attitude of the Honam public. For that to happen, Korea will have to go through a very difficult ordeal once. “I think that only when people face a more difficult situation than the IMF will they realize that they have to take responsibility for the consequences of their choices,” he added.
