윤 전 대통령 내외는 이날 사저를 나와 투표에 참여하기 위해 서울 서초구 원명초등학교에 마련된 서초4동 제3투표소를 향했다.

투표장으로 가던 도중 원명초등학교에서 노란 상의를 입은 아이와 만나 손을 잡고 함께 교내를 걷기도 했다.
윤 전 대통령 부부는 투표를 마치고 나오자, 기다리고 있던 취재진들은 "검찰 조사에 왜 불응하느냐", "사전투표를 부정선거라고 보느냐", "탄핵으로 인해 대선이 치러졌는데 국민께 사과할 생각이 없느냐"는 다양한 질문을 던졌으나, 별다른 답을 하지 않고 곧바로 투표소를 떠났다.
