[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 경남 고성군 삼산면의 지역 특산물 갯장어를 주제로 제2회 하모하모 축제를 포교마을 주차장 일원에서 오는 14일 개최한다.
‘하모’는 갯장어의 다른 이름으로 5월 하순부터 9월까지가 제철이며, 경상도와 전라도의 청정해역인 남해안 일대에서만 서식하는데 그중에서도 고성군 삼산면 두포리 자란만에서 잡히는 것이 최고의 맛으로 평가받고 있다.
삼산면주민자치회(회장 이회재)가 주최·주관하는 이번 축제는 지역 기관·단체 및 지역 주민들이 함께 동참하여 삼산면의 아름다운 바다를 배경으로 하모회와 지역에서 생산한 다양한 농·수특산물을 알리기 위해 준비했다.
이번 축제는 갯장어 시식 및 판매, 농·수특산물 판매 장터, 고성매직아트예술단의 축하공연 및 주민장기자랑, 공룡세계엑스포, 해양치유센터, 고향사랑기부제, 문화누리카드 등 행정시책 홍보, 그 외 가족 단위 방문객들을 위한 체험 프로그램 등 다양한 볼거리, 즐길거리를 제공할 예정이다.
이회재 주민자치회장은 “지난해에 이어 올해 2회째를 맞이하는 하모하모 축제는 관광객들에게 청정 자연속에서 신선한 갯장어의 담백한 맛을 느끼고, 삼산면의 농수특산물을 경험할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것이다. 많은 관심과 홍보를 부탁한다”고 말했다.
김현주 면장은 “삼산면주민자치회 및 기관·단체·주민들이 함께 행사를 준비해 준 것에 감사드린다”라며, “행사장을 찾는 방문객의 안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 사전에 철저히 점검하고 준비하여 안전하고 원활하게 축제가 마무리될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 지원할 것”이라고 전했다.
한편, 지난해 8월 개최했던 ‘제1회 한여름밤의 하모하모축제 및 아나바다 나눔장터’는 군민들과 관광객 700여 명이 삼산면을 찾아와 성황을 이루었으며, 다함께 맛보고 즐기는 축제의 장으로서 삼산면의 대표 축제로 자리매김했다.
