당진시, '시민 중심 적극행정' 실천 다짐 결의대회 개최

당진시가 시민 삶의 질 향상과 행정 효율성 증대를 위한 공직사회 내 '적극행정' 실천 의지를 확고히 다졌다. 

시는 지난 2일 시청 1층 대강당에서 오성환 시장과 공직자들이 참석한 가운데 '적극행정 실천 다짐 결의대회'를 개최했다고 4일 밝혔다. 이번 결의대회는 시민 중심의 적극행정을 공직 문화로 정착시키고, 공직자 스스로 실천 의지를 다지는 계기를 마련하고자 추진되었다. 

지난해 상반기 당진시 적극행정 우수공무원으로 선발된 농업기술과 최은숙 주무관이 대표로 나서 적극행정 실천 다짐 결의문을 낭독하며 대회 분위기를 고조시켰다. 

결의문에는 시민 이익을 최우선으로 삼아 창의성과 전문성을 바탕으로 업무를 적극적으로 추진하겠다는 의지가 명확히 담겼다. 아울러 무사안일주의와 같은 소극적인 행정 관행을 과감히 혁파하고, 전례가 없어 해결이 어려운 과제에 대해서도 합리적이고 실효성 있는 해결책을 적극적으로 모색하겠다는 다짐을 포함했다. 시민의 행복을 증진하기 위한 정책을 끊임없이 발굴하고 실행해 나가겠다는 포부도 밝혔다. 

오성환 시장은 대회를 통해 "이번 결의대회가 모든 공직자들에게 적극행정의 중요성을 다시 한번 되새기고, 시민을 위한 봉사자로서의 역할을 충실히 수행하겠다는 의지를 다지는 소중한 계기가 되기를 기대한다"고 강조했다. 

또한 "앞으로도 변함없이 시민의 목소리에 귀 기울이고 시민의 입장에서 고민하며, 시민이 체감할 수 있는 행정 혁신을 통해 공공의 이익을 극대화하고 당진시에 대한 시민들의 신뢰를 더욱 두텁게 쌓아나가겠다"고 역설했다.

한편, 당진시는 행정안전부 주관 지자체 적극행정 종합평가에서 3년 연속 우수기관으로 선정되는 등 적극행정 분야에서 뛰어난 성과를 인정받고 있다.
