구미시의회(의장 박교상)는 21일 제295회 임시회 제2차 본회의를 끝으로 7일간의 의사일정을 모두 마쳤다고 밝혔다.
이날 본회의에 앞서 박세채 의원은 5분 자유발언을 통해 “중동발 위기로 인한 소상공인의 경영 부담을 덜기 위해 즉각적이고 실질적인 지원책이 필요하다”고 강조했다. 이어 긴급자금 지원과 대출 규제 완화 등 금융 지원은 물론 구조적 대책 마련도 촉구했다.
본회의에서는 각 상임위원회 심사를 거친 의원발의 조례안 7건을 포함해 조례안 15건과 동의안 5건 등 총 20건의 안건이 처리됐다.
특히 이번 회기에는 청소년 복지, 공무원 후생복지, 도시재생, 로컬푸드 육성 등 다양한 분야의 의원발의 조례안이 통과되며 지역 현안 해결을 위한 의회의 역할이 부각됐다.
양진오 부의장은 폐회사를 통해 “이번 임시회 기간 시민 복지 향상과 지역 발전을 위해 열정적인 의정활동을 펼쳐 온 동료 의원들께 감사드린다”며 “원활한 의정활동을 위해 협조해 준 집행기관 공무원들에게도 감사드린다”고 말했다.
한편 다음 회기는 제9대 구미시의회 의원들의 마지막 회기로, 6월 3일 지방선거 이후인 6월 17일부터 22일까지 6일간 열릴 예정이다.
