산과 바다를 잇는 우정: 태안-제천 청소년 교류 사업, 지역 화합의 장 열다
태안군은 지난 5월 31일부터 6월 1일까지 1박 2일 동안 태안지역 청소년 10명과 제천지역 청소년 10명 등 총 20명이 참여한 가운데 태안지역 주요 관광지를 탐방하는 ‘2025년 태안-제천 교류 사업’을 성공적으로 마쳤다고 밝혔다.
‘산과 바다가 만나는 우정의 길’이라는 주제로 진행된 이번 사업은 자매도시인 태안군과 제천시의 우애를 다지고 두 지역 청소년들 간 소통과 공감을 확대하고자 마련되었다.
참여 청소년들은 첫날 태안군청소년수련관에서 교류 활동을 가진 후 안면읍으로 이동하여 카트 체험과 안면도수목원을 방문하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈다. 이튿날에는 만리포해수욕장을 찾아 바다를 만끽했다.
특히, ‘2025년 태안 방문의 해’를 맞아 탄소중립의 가치를 실현하기 위한 환경 보호 활동에 적극 참여했으며. 만리포 해변에서 쓰레기를 줍는 ‘플로깅’과 캠페인을 진행하고, 종이박스를 활용하여 현수막을 만드는 등 자연을 생각하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.
태안군은 이번 교류 사업이 청소년들의 건강한 성장과 지역에 대한 자긍심을 키우는 데 큰 도움이 된다고 평가하며, 오는 10월경 제천시에서 2차 교류 프로그램을 진행할 계획이라고 전했다.
