대통령실이 9일 지난 12·3 비상계엄에 가담한 대통령 경호처 본부장 5명을 전원 대기발령한다고 전했다.
강유정 대통령실 대변인은 이날 오전 용산 대통령실 브리핑에서 "12·3 과정서 경호처는 법원이 합법 발행한 체포영장 집행·압수수색을 막으면서 사회적 혼란·갈등을 초래했다"며 인사위원회를 통해 이같이 결정됐다고 전했다.
그러면서 "또 경호처 수뇌부는 적법 지시를 거부하고 체포영장 집행에 협조한 간부를 상대로 인사 보복을 취하기도 했다"며 "국민전체를 위해 봉사해야할 국가기관이 사실상 윤석열 전 대통령 사병으로 전락해 많은 국민들 공분을 샀다"고 했다.
또 "추가 인사조치가 나오기 전까지 대통령 경호처는 당분간 직무대행체제로 전환된다"며 "이는 새 정부가 들어선 데 따른 인적 쇄신·조직 안정화를 위한 조치며 이재명 대통령이 강조해온 열린, 낮은 경호 실행"이라고 덧붙였다.
앞서 경찰청 국가수사본부 비상계엄 특별수사단은 윤석열 전 대통령 체포영장 집행을 방해한 김성훈 전 대통령경호처 차장·이광우 경호본부장·박종준 전 경호처장·이진하 경비안전본부장·김신 전 가족부장 등 경호처 수뇌부 5명을 특수공무집행방해·대통령경호법상 직권남용 등 혐의로 입건한 바 있다.
