세종시교육청은 10일 청사 대강당에서 본청과 직속 기관 직원들이 참석한 가운데 6월 소통·공감의 날을 개최했다.
행사는 제44회 스승의 날 유공 훈·포장 시상 ,교육감 당부말씀 ,직장교육(마당극) 순으로 진행됐으며 직장교육 시간에는 마당극단 ‘좋다’가 ‘기면 기고 아니면 아니다’ 라는 주제로 마당극이 열렸다.
2003년 창단한 마당극단 ‘좋다’는 전통적 마당극 양식에 현대적인 창작을 결합해, 우리 사회의 다양한 문제를 마당극 특유의 웃음과 감동으로 풀어내는 마당극 전문단체이다.
이날 공연은 6.10 민주항쟁 기념일을 맞아 마련되었으며, 6월 항쟁의 도화선이 된 당시 시대 상황과 충청지역에서 일어났던 여러 민주화 운동 과정을 춤과 노래로 표현했다.
마당극을 통해 6.10. 민주항쟁일을 기념하며, 민주주의의 의미를 다시 한번 되새기고, 학생들의 민주시민 교육을 위한 교육청의 역할에 대해 함께 고민해 보는 시간을 가졌다.
이 자리에서 최 교육감은 “지난주 새로운 대통령을 우리 손으로 직접 뽑을 수 있었던 것은 1987년 민주화 투쟁의 결과로 직선제 개헌을 이뤄냈기 때문.”이라며,“1987년 피와 희생으로 이뤄낸 민주화운동은 지난 겨울 계엄 정국을 이겨낸 자양분이 되었고 이는 광화문과 남태령 그리고 전국 곳곳의 거리에 응원봉을 들고 나온 청년들에게 이어졌다.”라고 의미를 되짚었다.
