당진시가 지난 11일 당진시자율방재단원 40여 명을 대상으로 천안시 충청남도안전체험관에서 '2025년 당진시자율방재단 재난안전체험교육'을 실시했다고 12일 밝혔다. 이번 교육은 자율방재단원의 재난 발생 시 현장 대응 역량을 강화하기 위해 마련되었다.
교육 프로그램은 도시철도 사고, 고층 화재, 교통사고, 실내화재, 완강기 체험 등 사회 재난 상황과 산불 및 산사태, 태풍, 수난안전, 지진 체험 등 자연 재난 상황을 간접적으로 경험할 수 있도록 구성되었다.
특히 이번 교육은 기존의 이론 중심 교육에서 벗어나, 단원들이 실제와 유사한 재난 상황을 직접 체험하며 실질적인 대처 능력을 습득하는 데 큰 의미를 두었다.
당진시자율방재단은 자연재해대책법 및 관련 조례에 근거한 법정 단체로서, 평소 위험목 제거, 폭염 예찰 활동, 지역 축제 및 행사 안전관리 지원, 수해 복구 인력 지원, 안전신문고 신고 등 지역사회의 안전을 위한 다양한 재난 관리 활동을 펼치고 있다.
