이번 협의체는 한수원을 중심으로 국산품 설계·개발·검증 분야의 핵심 기업과 학계, 연구기관 등 30여 개 기관이 참여해, 원전 기자재의 국산화에 필요한 기술적·제도적 난제를 공유하고 협력 방안을 모색하는 플랫폼이다.
협의체 출범식에서는 ‘원전 기자재 국산화 기술협력 업무협약’이 체결됐다. 이를 통해 참여 기관들은 원전 생태계의 기술 자립과 지속 가능한 성장 기반 마련을 위해 공동의 노력을 약속했다. 행사에서는 경영진 간담회와 실무진 중심의 발표·토론이 이어져 국산화 확대를 위한 실천적 협업 과제들이 논의됐다.
황주호 한수원 사장은 “이번 협의체는 설계부터 개발, 검증에 이르는 모든 단계에서 산·학·연이 한자리에 모여 국산화의 현실적 과제와 해결방안을 함께 논의한 매우 뜻깊은 첫걸음”이라며, “참여 기관 간 긴밀한 협력과 소통을 통해 전략적 국산화 로드맵을 구축하고, 실효성 있는 성과를 함께 만들어 가길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
한수원은 이번 협의체를 구심점으로 기자재 국산화에 필요한 기술 협력 및 공동 개발 활동을 본격화할 방침이다. 국산 기자재의 현장 적용까지 이어지는 전주기 협력체계를 구축함으로써 안정적인 공급망 확보와 기술 자립 달성에 속도를 낼 전망이다.

This council is a platform where approximately 30 organizations, including core companies in the design, development, and verification of domestic products, academia, and research institutes, centered around KHNP, share technical and institutional challenges necessary for domestic production of nuclear power plant equipment and seek cooperation measures.
At the council launch ceremony, the ‘Nuclear Power Plant Equipment Domestication Technology Cooperation Business Agreement’ was signed. Through this, the participating organizations promised joint efforts to establish a foundation for technological self-reliance and sustainable growth in the nuclear power ecosystem. At the event, a management meeting and presentations and discussions centered on working-level staff were held, discussing practical collaboration tasks for expanding domestic production.
President Hwang Ju-ho of Hanwha Solutions said, “This consultative body is a very meaningful first step in which industry, academia, and research gather together to discuss realistic tasks and solutions for domestic production at all stages from design to development and verification,” and added, “We hope to establish a strategic domestic production roadmap through close cooperation and communication among the participating organizations and create effective results together.”
Hanwha Solutions plans to fully launch technical cooperation and joint development activities necessary for domestic production of equipment with this consultative body as the center. By establishing a full-cycle cooperation system that extends to the field application of domestic equipment, it is expected to accelerate securing a stable supply chain and achieving technological independence.
