충남 서산시가 986억 원 규모의 대규모 투자유치에 성공하며 지역경제에 새로운 활력을 불어넣고 있다.
서산시는 6월 17일 충남도청 대회의실에서 일신케미칼㈜, ㈜동원유리, 광성강관공업㈜ 등 3개 기업과 공장 신·증설을 위한 합동 투자협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 이완섭 서산시장과 김태흠 충남도지사, 기업 대표 및 임원진 등 관계자들이 참석했다.
이번 투자로 서산시는 120명의 신규 고용을 포함해 약 1,928억 원의 생산유발효과와 804억 원 규모의 부가가치 창출을 기대하고 있다.
협약에 따라, 일신케미칼㈜은 700억 원을 투자해 서산인더스밸리 일반산업단지 내에 1만 8,000㎡ 규모의 공장을 신설할 예정이다. 이 회사는 북미 시장을 중심으로 플라스틱 필름 및 바닥재를 수출하는 강소기업으로, 연매출 1,300억 원에 달하며, 2022년에는 ‘7천만 불 수출의 탑’을 수상한 바 있다.
