이날 점검에서 복구 완료된 조만강 제방 상태와 풍유지구 배수시설 현황과 문제점, 대형 공사장 내 사면 토사 유출과 추가 유실 여부, 임시 침사지와 가배수로 정비 상태, 급경사지 사면붕괴 우려 지역의 유지관리 실태와 사전 안전점검 여부 등을 확인했다.
홍 시장은 지난해 9월 대성지구 급경사지(절토사면) 유실 현장, 공장·민가와 연접한 사면붕괴 우려 지역은 철저한 점검과 예찰활동을 강조하면서 이상 징후 시 사전 주민 대피 등의 신속한 대응으로 인명피해 예방에 철저를 기하라고 지시했다.
