가평군은 매년 피서철을 맞아 관내 물놀이 지역 23개소에 고정 안전요원과 순찰요원을 배치해 사고 예방활동을 벌이고 있다. 또한 구명조끼 대여소 운영과 기상악화 시 입수 통제 등 체계적인 현장 관리도 병행하고 있다.
