충남 당진시가 시민 숙원 사업으로 오랜 기간 표류해온 종합병원과 자율형 사립고(자사고) 설립에 본격적으로 나선다.
이를 위해 당진시는 6월 25일 충청남도청 상황실에서 충청남도, 현대제철과 함께 교육·의료 인프라 확충을 위한 3자 간 상생협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 오성환 당진시장과 김태흠 충남도지사, 서강현 현대제철 대표이사가 참석해 지역사회 정주 여건 개선과 삶의 질 향상을 위한 공동 의지를 확인했다.
협약의 핵심은 당진시 내 종합병원과 자사고를 신설함으로써 응급·중증의료 공백을 해소하고, 우수 인재 육성과 교육 인프라를 강화하겠다는 데 있다.
당진시는 오는 27일 오후 4시 시청 해나루홀에서 기자회견을 열고 구체적인 사업 계획과 추진 일정, 각 기관의 역할 등을 공식 발표할 예정이다.
