도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 25일(현지시간) "다음 주 이란과 대화를 가질 것"이라며 "우리가 요구할 유일한 건 이전에 요구한 것, 즉 핵에 관한 것"이라고 밝혔다.
미 ' CNN' 'CBS 방송' 등에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 이날 네덜란드 헤이그에서 열린 나토(NATO·북대서양조약기구) 정상회의 계기 기자회견에서 이같이 전했다. 이는 이란 의회가 평화적 핵프로그램 재개를 천명한 가운데 이스라엘·이란 간 무력충돌로 중단됐던 미·이란 간 '이란 비핵화 합의' 대화 재개 의미가 담긴 것으로 보인다.
또 이란과의 비핵화 관련 내용을 담은 '핵 협정' 체결에 대해 "미군 타격으로 이란 핵시설이 사실상 제거됐다"며 "체결할 수도 있다. 그게 필요하다 생각하진 않는다"고 했다.
