(사)한국수산업경영인 경북도연합회(회장 이영무)가 주최하고 울진군연합회(회장 이준호)가 주관하는 이번 행사는, 해양수산 관련 기관장, 수산업 종사자 등 800여 명이 참석한 가운데 경북 수산업의 도약을 다짐하는 대규모 행사로 진행된다.
이날 대회는 1부 공식 개회식과 2부 화합의 행사로 나뉘며, 식전공연, 유공자 표창, 산불피해 극복 성금 전달식 등이 예정돼 있다. 특히 ‘어업대전환! 산불피해 재창조! 함께하는 한수연!’이라는 주제 아래, 미래 수산업의 방향성과 대응 전략을 담은 비전 선포식이 펼쳐질 예정이다.
경북 어업인들은 기후변화 대응과 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 5대 정책 비전을 정부에 건의할 계획이다. 주요 과제로는 ▲총허용어획량(TAC) 제도 도입 및 규제 혁신 ▲기후재난 대응 소득 안정장치 마련 ▲어선 임대제 및 감척 제도 유연화 ▲신소득원 발굴 지원 ▲스마트 조업 환경 구축 등이 포함됐다. 이 정책 건의는 경북도를 통해 정부에 공식 전달될 예정이다.
한편 2부 행사는 인기가수 공연과 명랑운동회, 노래자랑 등 어업인 간 소통과 화합을 위한 시간으로 채워지며, 현장에는 수산기자재 홍보 부스도 함께 마련된다.
손병복 울진군수는 “수산업의 미래는 위기를 기회로 바꾸는 혁신에 달려 있다”며, “울진군은 이미 스마트 해양양식과 물류 혁신 시스템을 준비 중이며, 친환경 수산업 기반을 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
울진군은 향후 디지털 기반 수산업 전환과 청년 어업인 유입을 위한 정책을 확대하고, 지역 바다를 글로벌 수산자원의 중심지로 육성할 계획이다.
이번 대회를 통해 경북 수산업은 전통 어업을 넘어 지속가능한 해양 산업으로의 전환을 본격화하고, 미래 세대가 계승 가능한 수산업 모델 구축에 박차를 가할 전망이다.
