브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 기아는 지난 한 해 동안의 다양한 지속가능경영 성과와 ESG 관련 정보를 담은 2025년 지속가능경영 보고서 ‘MOVE’를 발간했다고 30일 밝혔다.
기아는 고객, 투자자, ESG 평가기관 등 국내외 여러 이해관계자와의 소통을 위해 매년 지속가능경영 보고서를 발간하고 있다.
기아 송호성 사장은 인사말에서 “창사 이래 최대 실적 속에서도 기아는 ‘Sustainable Movement for an Inspiring Future(영감을 주는 미래를 위한 지속가능한 움직임)’이라는 ESG 비전 아래 지속가능성의 가치를 언제나 최우선으로 삼았다”며 “앞으로도 글로벌 환경·사회 문제의 적극적인 해결을 모색하는 가치 있는 기업이 될 것이다”고 강조했다.
이번에 발간된 ‘MOVE’는 △CEO 메시지 및 기업 소개를 담은 ‘기업 개요(Introduction)’ 파트 △기아의 ESG 비전과 연간 주요 성과 등을 포함한 ‘ESG 추진전략(ESG Strategy)’ 파트 △ESG 세 가지 영역별 세부 추진 성과와 계획을 정리한 ‘환경/사회/지배구조(Environmental/Social/Governance)’ 파트 △3개년의 ESG 정량 데이터를 담은 ‘ESG 데이터·지표(ESG Data & Appendix)’ 파트 등 네 가지로 나눠 구성됐다.
‘MOVE’는 GRI(Global Reporting Initiative), SASB(Sustainability Accounting Standards Board), TCFD(Task force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure), ESRS(European Sustainability Reporting Standards) 등 글로벌 공시 가이드라인을 준용했다.
기아 지속가능경영실장 이덕현 상무는 “ESG 정보 공시가 중요해짐에 따라 기업과 여러 이해관계자 관점에서 중요한 ESG 이슈를 중심으로 정보 공시를 구체화했다”며 “앞으로도 기아는 기후변화에 대한 진정성, 이해관계자의 가치제고 및 동반성장, 투명하고 윤리적인 경영을 중심으로 모두의 지속가능성을 위한 책임 있는 행보를 이어 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
한편, 기아는 2022년부터 환경 영향을 최소화하고자 별도 인쇄 없이 지속가능경영 보고서를 PDF 형태로 발간하고 있다. 기아의 지속가능경영 보고서는 기아 홈페이지 내 지속가능경영 보고서 메뉴에서 누구나 열람할 수 있다.
