브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 테슬라코리아는 V4 수퍼차저를 가평휴게소(서울/춘천 양방향)에 설치하고 본격 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
서울춘천고속도로의 유일한 휴게소이자 국내 최대 매출을 자랑하는 가평휴게소에 V4 수퍼차저가 설치되면서 수도권에서 양양·속초·강릉 등 강원도 지역으로 이동하는 테슬라 및 모든 전기차 오너들이 여름철 휴가 시즌에도 보다 편리하고 안정적인 장거리 주행을 즐길 수 있게 됐다.
이번에 도입된 V4 수퍼차저는 Tesla의 최신 충전 기술이 적용된 차세대 고속 충전기다. 다양한 전기차종 지원을 위해 케이블 길이를 약 3m까지 확대하고 추후 V4캐비넷의 런칭 시 500kW의 최대 출력 지원이 가능하다.
기존에 운영해온 V3 수퍼차저 대비 하드웨어 구조와 확장성 면에서 진일보하면서 추후 펌웨어 업데이트를 통해 특정차량에 한해 300kW 이상의 충전을 지원할 수 있다. 더 긴 충전 케이블을 적용해 향후 비테슬라 차량과의 호환성도 고려한 것이 특징이다.
한편 테슬라코리아는 지난 5월 한국 진출 이후 처음으로 국내 수입차 브랜드 판매량 1위를 기록하는 등 전기차를 넘어 전체 자동차 시장 내 브랜드 위상이 한층 강화되고 있다.
