급변하는 중동 정세 속, 이재명 정부의 국익중심 실용외교 전략을 도모하기 위한 <이재명 정부의 對 중동정책 방향>세미나가 1일(화) 국회의원회관 제5간담회의실에서 개최됐다.

이번 세미나는 국회 외교통일위원회 소속 홍기원 의원(더불어민주당, 평택갑)과 (재)한국-아랍소사이어티가 공동주최하고 고려대학교 아세아문제연구원 중동·이슬람센터가 주관, Trends Research & Advisory Korea Office가 후원해 마련됐다.
이날 세미나를 공동주최한 김창모 한국-아랍소사이어티 사무총장은 개회사에서 “인도주의적 가치와 정치적 이해가 얽혀 있는 상황에서 한국도 중동 지역에 대한 입장 정립과 위상에 걸맞은 외교 방식을 수립할 필요가 있다”고 강조했다.
