[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시지속가능발전협의회와 인제대학교 지역연계협력본부는 지난 1일 인제대 본관 지역연계협력본부장실에서 ‘지속가능한 김해 구현을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 인제대가 추진 중인 ‘글로컬대학30 김해 All-City 지역 대전환’ 사업과 연계해 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)에 기반한 인재 양성을 통해 지속가능한 김해를 실현하고자 하는 취지에서 마련됐다.
협약을 통해 지속가능발전협의회는 지역의 지속가능발전 의제를 발굴하고 민관협력 거버넌스를 통해 실천 중심의 사업을 기획·조정하기로 했다. 인제대는 지속가능발전 교육, 연구 프로그램 운영에 협력하고 관련 분야 전문 인력과 청년이 참여하는 실천사업을 적극 지원하기로 했다.
양 기관은 시민 참여 기반의 정책 실현과 지역 문제 해결을 위한 프로그램을 공동으로 기획·운영하며 지속가능한 지역사회를 만들기 위한 협력 체계를 구축하기로 했다.
특히 이번 협약을 바탕으로 오는 9월부터 11월까지 ‘지속가능발전대학 및 심화과정’을 공동 운영할 계획이다. 이는 제6기 김해시 지속가능발전대학의 일환으로 추진되며 시민과 청년을 대상으로 지속가능성 역량을 강화하고 실천 중심의 교육을 제공한다.
이번 협력 추진과 관련해 이상협 인제대 지역연계협력본부장은 “인제대의 교육·연구 인프라와 글로컬대학30 사업을 통해 지속가능발전 전문 인력양성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
이시우 지속가능발전협의회 상임회장은 “이번 협약은 민관학이 함께 지속가능한 김해를 설계해 나가는 중요한 출발점”이라며 “교육과 연구, 실천이 유기적으로 연계된 협력 모델을 통해 김해시가 지속가능발전 선도 도시로 성장하는 데 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.
