이재명 대통령이 3일 취임 30일을 맞아 "한·미 간 든든한 공조·협의를 바탕으로 북한과의 관계를 개선해야겠다고 생각한다"고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 청와대 영빈관에서 가진 '대통령의 30일, 언론이 묻고 국민에게 답하다' 대통령실 출입기자단과의 기자 회견에서 언론 질의 응답을 통해 이같이 말했다.
이 대통령은 주4.5일제 시행 관련해 "시점을 특정하지 못하는 건 이해해달라"며 "사회적 대화를 통해 가능한 부분부터 점진적으로 해나가야 한다"고 밝혔다.
그러면서 "많이 일하고, 생산성 떨어지고, 힘은 들고, 국제경쟁력은 떨어지고, 질보다 양으로 승부해왔다 할 수 있다"며 "노동생산성을 올려야 하고 노동 시간도 줄여 워라밸이 가능하게 만들어야 한다"고 했다.
이어 "우리 사회가 앞으로 노동시간 단축을 반드시 해내야 한다"면서도 "강제로 법으로 정해 일정 시점에 추진하는 건 갈등이 심각해 불가능하다"고 했다.
또 "(야당 불만이) 만약 타당하고 합리적 근거가 있는 거라면 당연히 수용해 교정해야 하며 앞으로도 그렇게 할 것이고 끊임없이 대화할 생각"이라며 "야당 국회의원들도 국민 선택을 받은 대표이기에 충분히 존중받고 존중해야 한다 생각하고, 많이 만나 뵐 생각"이라고 했다.
더불어 "필요하다 하면 한다. 그쪽과 일정을 맞춰 필요할 때마다 만나보면 된다"면서도 "비공개 공식 모임 같은 경우 만나서 드러내고 할 얘기 하자, 마음속 얘기를 하자 해서 했는데 일부를 떼서 공격 소재로 쓰거나 그러면 다음에 만나기가 어렵다"고 했다.
