브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 수협중앙회가 조업 활동에 불편을 줄인 구명조끼를 연말까지 모든 어선에 보급한다고 7일 밝혔다.
이를 위해 연·근해와 양식장 관리 어선에 승선한 어선원 1인당 10만 원대 구명조끼 구입비 80%가 지원된다.
수협중앙회는 이 같은 내용의 ‘구명조끼 보급 한시 지원사업’을 수립하고, 오는 10월까지 선적지 관할 수협과 어선안전국에서 신청서를 받는다.
이번 사업은 오는 10월 19일 시행되는 2인 이하 승선 어선에 구명조끼 착용 의무화에 대응하고, 어업인 안전을 확보하기 위한 조치다.
사업대상은 모든 어선으로 시험·조사·지도·단속 또는 교습에 종사하는 선박은 제외된다.
수협중앙회 어업용 기자재 홈페이지에 등록된 해양수산부 형식승인을 받은 팽창식 구명조끼(목도리형 19종, 허리벨트형 15종) 가운데 지정 제품을 구입하면, 그 비용의 80%를 지원한다.
과거에 이 같은 팽창식 구명조끼를 구매한 경우라도 신청이 가능하다.
