당진시(시장 오성환)가 본격적인 여름 휴가철을 맞아 지역경제 활성화와 소상공인 지원을 위해 모바일 당진사랑상품권 50억 원을 특별 발행한다. 이번 추가 발행은 오는 7월 15일 오전 10시부터 진행될 예정이다.
이번 특별 발행은 정부의 민생회복 기조에 발맞춰 소비 진작을 통한 지역경제 회복을 도모하기 위해 추진된다. 기존 매월 1회 정기 발행되던 모바일 상품권과는 별도로 공급되어, 더 많은 시민들이 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 할 방침이다. 개인당 월 구매 한도는 전년과 동일하게 50만 원이며, 최대 150만 원까지 보유할 수 있다.
당진시는 지역화폐인 당진사랑상품권의 총 발행 규모를 기존 450억 원에서 210억 원이 증가한 660억 원으로 대폭 확대했다. 이 중 9억 4천만 원은 정부의 1차 추가경정예산을 통해 확보한 국비로 재원을 마련하여 안정적인 운영을 꾀하고 있다.
상반기에 이미 250억 원 규모의 당진사랑상품권을 발행한 당진시는 하반기에도 기존 예정된 200억 원에 더해 이번 특별 발행분 210억 원을 추가하여 총 410억 원을 발행 및 공급할 계획이다.
이번에 발행되는 당진사랑상품권은 정부에서 7월 중 지급 예정인 민생회복 소비 쿠폰과 시너지를 발휘하여 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인과 침체된 지역경제에 활력을 불어넣을 것으로 기대된다.
