한울본부, 울진군 에너지취약계층에 냉방비 2,400만원 지원

【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 이세용, 이하 한울본부)는 7월 10일, 울진군 에너지 취약계층을 위한 냉방비 2,400만원을 사랑의열매 경북사회복지공동모금회를 통해 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 지원은 한국수력원자력의 체코 원전 수주를 기념해 한울본부가 추진하는 ‘사회공헌 임팩트 위크’의 일환으로, 임직원 기부금으로 조성된 민들레홀씨기금으로 마련됐다.

지원금은 관내 사회복지시설 12곳에 900만원, 에너지 취약계층 300세대에 세대당 5만원씩 총 1,500만원이 전달될 예정이다.

이세용 본부장은 “체코 원전 수주라는 뜻깊은 성과와 함께, 지역사회를 위한 나눔까지 이어져 의미있다고 생각한다. 유례없는 폭염 속 냉방비 지원이 실질적인 도움이 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 따뜻한 나눔을 지속적으로 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Hanul Headquarters, 24 million won in cooling costs for energy-vulnerable groups in Uljin-gun

On July 10 (Thursday), Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Se-yong, hereinafter referred to as Hanul Headquarters) of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. delivered 24 million won in cooling costs for energy-vulnerable groups in Uljin-gun through the Love Fruit Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.

This support was prepared with the Dandelion Seed Fund, which was raised through employee donations, as part of the ‘Social Contribution Impact Week’ promoted by Hanul Headquarters to commemorate Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power’s winning of a contract for a Czech nuclear power plant.

The support will be delivered to 12 social welfare facilities in the region, and 300 households in energy-vulnerable groups, 50,000 won per household, for a total of 15 million won.

Chief Lee Se-yong said, “I think it is meaningful that we have achieved the meaningful result of winning the Czech nuclear power plant contract, and that we have also shared with the local community. I hope that the support for cooling costs during the unprecedented heat wave will be of real help, and we will continue to share warmth in the future.”
