브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 정부 첫 내각 19개 부처의 장관 후보자 인선이 11일 마무리됐다. 이재명 대통령은 19명의 후보자 중 8명을 현역 국회의원으로 지명했다.
강훈식 대통령 비서실장은 이날 브리핑을 통해 "이재명 대통령은 오늘 국토교통부 장관 후보자로 김윤덕 더불어민주당 의원, 문화체육관광부 장관 후보자로 최휘영 놀유니버스 대표를 각각 지명했다"면서 "오늘 발표로 첫 내각 후보자가 모두 확정됐다"고 밝혔다.
이날 발표된 김윤덕 후보자는 민주당 사무총장으로 3선 의원이다. 강 비서실장은 "국회 국토교통위원회 위원으로 활동하면서 입법과 정책 능력을 입증해왔다"고 말했다.
이어 "부동산 문제에 대해 학자나 관료가 아닌 국민의 눈높이에서 접근하는 한편 지역균형 발전과 함께 국토·건설·교통·모빌리티 등 다방면에서 비전을 제시할 것으로 기대한다"며 "특히 주거 불안정을 초래하는 부동산 투기를 용납하지 않으면서 시장 원리를 존중하고 실수요자를 보호한다는 이 대통령의 실용적 철학을 실천할 것"이라고 했다.

강 비서실장은 현역 국회의원들이 대거 포함된데 대해 "인수위가 있었다면 좀 더 여유로운 공간을 찾아낼 수 있었겠지만 인수위 없이 시작하는 정부"라며 "업무에 호흡을 맞춰왔던 분들과 하는 것이 좀 더 효율적이라는 불가피한 측면도 반영됐다"고 설명했다.
이재명 대통령은 초대 내각 후보자들에게 "정부 부처 모두 유능하고 충직함으로 빠르게 성과를 만들어내길 기대한다"며 "사회 전반의 혁신을 위해 기존의 관습을 과감하게 벗고, 참신하고 유연한 발상으로 변화를 선도해달라"고 당부했다.
아울러 "통상 압박과 여름철 폭염 등 민생경제 침체의 당면 문제에 대해 일하는 정부, 선제적·신속한 정부가 될 수 있도록 힘을 모아달라"고 했다.
