지난 20일 주말 전격 소집된 긴급 확대 의장단 회의에서 '전시성·형식적 방문을 지양하고 실질적인 복구 활동을 즉각 전개한다'는 결의를 밝힌 후속 조치다.
21일 오전 일찍부터 최학범 의장을 비롯한 18명의 의원과 사무처장 등 40여 명의 의회 관계자들은 2개 팀으로 나뉘어 합천군 가회면과 의령군 대의면의 침수 현장으로 향했다. 이들은 침수된 주택의 가재도구를 정리하고 토사를 제거하는 등 복구 작업에 직접 참여하며 피해 주민들의 아픔을 함께했다.
