브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG가 22일 집중호우로 피해를 입은 지역의 주민을 돕기 위해 전국재해구호협회에 성금 20억원을 기탁했다.
LG가 전달한 성금은 수해 지역의 빠른 피해 복구와 이재민 지원에 활용될 예정이다.
또한, LG는 대한적십자사를 통해 모포류, 의류, 생활용품 등 재난 발생 시 이재민에게 필요한 물품들로 구성된 긴급구호키트도 전달할 계획이다.
LG 관계자는 “이번 수해로 삶의 터전을 잃고 어려움을 겪고 있는 피해 지역 주민들이 빠르게 일상으로 복귀할 수 있도록 피해 복구에 보탬이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
LG 계열사도 침수 가전 수리, 생활필수품 및 무선 통신 서비스 지원 등 긴급 구호에 나섰다.
LG전자는 지난 19일부터 충남 아산시와 예산군, 경남 산청 등 긴급 수해 피해 지역에 서비스 거점을 마련하고, 가전제품 무상 점검 및 수리 서비스를 지원하고 있다. LG전자는 주말 동안 갑작스러운 침수 피해를 겪은 경기도 지역에도 수해 서비스 거점을 마련할 계획이다.
