완주-전주 통합을 둘러싼 난항이 이어지고 있는 가운데 우범기 전주시장이 완주지역 기업인들을 만나 상생방안을 논의했다.
우 시장은 22일 전북혁신도시 내 한 식당에서 완주 기업인들과 조찬 간담회를 갖고 지역경제 활성화와 완주ㆍ전주 통합에 관련된 다양한 의견을 나누는 시간을 가졌다.
이날 간담회는 완주와 전주가 하나 돼 더 큰 성장 동력을 확보하기 위해 완주군 기업인들의 목소리를 직접 듣고 향후 협력 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐으며 임동욱 이노비즈 전북지회장 및 완주지역 5개 기업 대표 등이 참석했다.
기업인들은 행정구역 통합을 통해 산업기반 확충과 투자 유치 여건 개선 등 경제적 측면에서의 기대감을 나타냈다.
