브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 한화그룹이 최근 이어진 집중호우로 인한 피해 지역의 신속한 복구를 위해 20억원의 성금을 전국재해구호협회에 기탁하기로 했다.
중앙재난안전대책본부에 따르면 이번 집중호우로 인해 이재민 약 7200여명이 발생했다. 특히 경남 산청과 경기 가평, 충남 서산 등에서 주택 침수, 도로 유실, 산사태 등 심각한 인명 및 재산피해가 잇따랐다.
한화는 피해의 심각성을 고려해 피해를 입은 주민들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 성금의 규모를 확대하고, 긴급 생계비, 임시 주거지 마련, 생필품 제공 등의 지원을 신속하게 집행할 계획이다.
한화그룹은 과거에도 대규모 재해가 발생할 때마다 피해 복구를 지원하면서 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하기 위해 노력해왔다. 지난 3월 경북·경남·울산의 대규모 산불 피해 지원을 위해 성금 10억원을 기탁했으며, 2023년에도 집중호우 및 각종 산불 피해 복구를 위해 성금을 기탁한 바 있다.
이 밖에도 한화생명과 한화손해보험은 집중호우 피해 고객을 대상으로 보험료 납입 및 대출 상환 유예, 사고보험금 접수 편의 및 신속 지급 등 특별 지원을 실시한다. 한화오션은 극심한 피해를 입은 경남 산청의 수해복구를 위한 차량과 자원봉사자들을 위한 식사를 지원한다.
