이번 소비쿠폰은 민생경제 활성화를 위한 정부 지원 정책의 일환으로, 전 시민에게 차등 지급된다. 지급 금액은 ▲기초생활수급자 43만 원 ▲차상위계층 및 한부모가족 33만 원 ▲그 외 일반 시민은 18만 원이다. 이는 정부가 비수도권 지자체에 추가로 1인당 3만 원을 지원한 데 따른 조치다.
시민 문의가 가장 많은 ‘신청 자격’과 관련해 경주시는 내국인 외에도 일정 요건을 충족하는 외국인에게는 예외적으로 쿠폰을 지급한다고 밝혔다. 지급 대상에는 주민등록상 내국인과 거주하거나 건강보험에 가입된 외국인 외에도 영주권자(F-5), 결혼이민자(F-6), 난민인정자(F-2-4)가 포함된다.
