[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군과 거창교육지원청은 29일, 거창군청에서 지역 청소년들의 진로탐색과 미래농업 인재양성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 자유학기제 연계 농업 진로 체험 프로그램인 ‘거창중학생, 미래농업과 손잡다' 운영을 중심으로, 양 기관의 협력 체계를 구축하기 위해 추진되었으며,협약식에는 구인모 거창군수, 신종규 거창교육지원청 교육장을 비롯해 양 기관 관계자 10여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
이날 협약을 통해 거창군과 거창교육지원청은 ▲지역 특화 스마트농업 기반 진로 체험 프로그램 운영 ▲미래농업 교육 콘텐츠 공동 개발 ▲지역 농업·교육 자원의 연계 활용 등의 협력을 약속했다.
특히, 진로 체험 프로그램은 청소년들이 첨단 기술과 접목된 농업의 가치와 가능성을 직접 체감하고, 장래 직업으로서의 농업을 탐색할 기회를 제공한다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다. 이를 통해 거창군은 지역 교육기관과의 지속적인 연계를 통해 ‘교육도시 거창’, ‘스마트농업 중심지 거창’으로서의 입지를 공고히 할 계획이다.
