해양 경찰관이 직접 교육기관을 방문해 안전한 물놀이 예방과 해양 안전문화 확산을 위해 진행하는 프로그램인 '찾아가는 연안 안전교실' 운영이 연장된다.
전북 군산해양경찰서는 올 4월 29일부터 시작한 '찾아가는 연안 안전교실'에 관내 64개 학교에서 총 6,430명이 신청할 정도로 큰 호응을 받아 대상 학교를 늘려 당초 9월 1일에서 30까지 연장해 실시할 계획이라고 31일 밝혔다.
특히 당초 예정에 없었던 유치원과 장애인 복지관 등도 마감 이후 추가 요청이 쇄도해 이를 모두 소화하기 위해 연장 운영이 결정됐다.
