창간 15주년을 맞은 CEO전문지 월간 『리더피플』은 7월 30일자 보도자료를 통해 가수 혜은이를 ‘8월의 예술인’으로 선정했다고 밝혔다.
김동성 월간 『리더피플』 발행인은 선정 이유에 대해 “혜은이 가수는 데뷔 50년의 중견가수로서 꾸준한 활동과 인기를 통해 우리 가요계의 발전에 기여했다”고 말하고 “수많은 히트곡은 우리 가요팬들의 변함없는 사랑 속에 정서생활을 윤택하게 하는 국민가요로 자리매김했다”고 평가했다.
