울진군은 지난 7월 29일부터 30일까지 충남 예산군 삽교읍의 침수 피해 현장을 찾아 비닐하우스 내 토사 제거 등 복구 활동을 벌였다. 이번 지원에는 울진군 공무원노동조합 위원장을 포함한 군청 직원 30여 명이 자발적으로 참여해 피해 농가에 큰 힘이 됐다.
이에 앞서 울진군은 7월 25~26일 이틀간 토목 분야 공무원 15명을 경남 산청군에 파견, 산사태 피해 복구 작업을 지원했다. 단순한 인력 지원을 넘어 울진군은 농업 분야 공무원을 중앙합동조사단에 파견해 피해 규모 조사에도 협력하고 있으며, 침수된 농기계 수리를 돕기 위해 농기계임대사업소 직원 4명을 추가 파견할 계획이다.
울진군의 이러한 복구 활동은 2022년 산불 당시 전국 각지에서 받은 도움에 대한 보답의 의미도 담고 있다. 울진군은 전국 어디든 도움이 필요한 곳이라면 가장 먼저 달려가겠다는 원칙을 실천하고 있다.
손병복 울진군수는 “작은 힘이나마 수해를 입은 주민들에게 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “하루빨리 일상을 되찾을 수 있도록 울진군이 할 수 있는 모든 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

Uljin County (Governor Son Byeong-bok) has urgently dispatched public officials to flood recovery sites in South Chungcheong Province and South Gyeongsang Province, which have recently been severely damaged by heavy rains, to provide recovery support.
From July 29th to 30th, Uljin County visited the flood-stricken site in Sapgyo-eup, Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province, and conducted recovery activities, including removing soil and debris from greenhouses. Approximately 30 county employees, including the chairman of the Uljin County Public Service Workers' Union, voluntarily participated in this support, providing significant support to affected farmers.
Prior to this, Uljin County dispatched 15 civil engineering officials to Sancheong County, South Gyeongsang Province, on July 25th and 26th to support landslide recovery efforts.
