유한양행(대표이사 조욱제)이 집중호우로 삶의 터전을 잃은 이재민을 위해 발 빠르게 나섰다. 회사는 위생·생활용품 약 1억 5천만원 상당을 대한적십자사를 통해 전국 15개 시·도 수해 지역에 기부한다고 1일 밝혔다.
이번 지원은 최근 발생한 기록적인 집중호우로 큰 피해를 입은 경기, 경남, 충남 등 전국 각지의 이재민을 위한 것으로, 단순 물자 제공을 넘어 위생환경 개선과 건강 보호에 초점을 맞춘 실질적 지원이라는 점에서 의미가 크다.
기부 품목은 유한락스 곰팡이 제거제, 친환경 주방세제 ‘에이포레’ 등 총 7종으로 구성됐다. 모두 수해 복구 과정에서 반드시 필요한 세정 및 살균 제품들로, 이재민들이 위생적인 환경에서 일상으로 복귀할 수 있도록 돕는 데 중점을 뒀다. 해당 물품들은 대한적십자사를 통해 피해 지역 주민들에게 순차적으로 전달될 예정이다.
조욱제 대표는 “예기치 못한 재난으로 고통받는 이웃들을 위해 조금이나마 실질적인 도움이 되기를 바라는 마음”이라며 “유한양행은 앞으로도 국민의 삶과 안전을 지키는 데 기여하는 사회적 책임을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Yuhan Corporation(CEO Cho Wook-je) has quickly responded to help flood victims who have lost their homes due to recent heavy rains. The company announced on the 1st that it will donate approximately 150 million KRW worth of sanitary and household goods through the Korean Red Cross to flood-affected areas across 15 cities and provinces.
This aid is intended for victims in regions like Gyeonggi, Gyeongnam, and Chungnam, who have been severely impacted by recent record-breaking downpours. The support is significant because it goes beyond simple material provision, focusing instead on practical assistance aimed at improving sanitation and protecting health.
The donated items include a total of seven products, such as Yuhan Clorox mold remover and the eco-friendly dish soap 'Afore.' These are all essential cleaning and sanitizing products needed during the recovery process, with a focus on helping victims return to their daily lives in a hygienic environment. The items will be distributed to residents in the affected areas through the Korean Red Cross.
CEO Cho Wook-je stated, "We hope this can provide some practical help to our neighbors suffering from this unexpected disaster. Yuhan Corporation will continue to fulfill its social responsibility by contributing to the lives and safety of the public."
