브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 더불어민주당이 6일 주식 차명거래 의혹으로 탈당한 이춘석 국회 법제사법위원장의 후임으로 6선의 추미애 의원을 내정했다.
김병기 원내대표는 이날 최고위원회의에서 "특별하고 비상한 상황인 만큼 일반적 상임위원장 선발에서 벗어나 검찰 개혁과 관련해 가장 유능하고 검찰 개혁을 이끄는 추미애 의원께 위원장직을 맡아 달라고 요청했다"고 밝혔다.
정청래 대표도 "국회 법사위원장은 다음 본회의에서 즉시 교체 선출하겠다"고 밝혔다.
이춘석 의원은 지난 4일 오후 국회 본회의장에서 휴대전화로 주식 거래 내역을 확인하는 모습이 포착되면서 차명 거래 의혹이 불거졌다. 이 의원은 결국 자진 탈당 의사를 전하며 법사위원장 자리도 함께 내려놓았다.
