브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차가 대표 대형 버스인 유니버스 수소전기버스 상품성 개선 모델과, 2026년형 유니버스 모델을 6일 출시하고 본격적으로 판매에 나선다.
유니버스 수소전기버스 상품성 개선 모델은 새로운 라인업을 추가해 고객 선택권을 넓히고 성능과 사양을 강화해 상품성을 높인 것이 특징이다.
현대차는 기존 전장 11.7m의 단일 사양으로만 운영했던 유니버스 수소전기버스에 전장 12m의 프라임 트림을 새롭게 추가해 거주성을 개선했다.
프라임 트림에 △운전석 에어컨 △운전석 스마트폰 무선 충전기 △운전석 통풍시트 △화물함 원격 잠금장치 △LED 독서등 △스텝 LED 램프 등을 기본화 함으로써 편의성을 강화했다.
아울러 유니버스 수소전기버스는 일체형 모터/변속기를 통해 부품간 연결 부위를 최소화시킴으로써 내구성을 높였으며, 듀얼 모터를 적용해 회생제동 성능을 향상시키고 변속 시 단절감을 최소화하는 동시에 주행 성능을 개선했다.
유니버스 수소전기버스는 모터 최고 출력 350kW, 모터 최대 토크 1800Nm이다. 연료 전지 시스템 최고 출력 180kW, 고출력 리튬 이온 배터리 48.2kWh, 1회 충전 시 주행 가능 거리 최대 960.4km를 갖췄다.

현대차는 2026년형 유니버스 전체 트림에 타이어 공기압 경보 장치를 기본화 했으며 기본 트림인 엘레강스에서 선택 품목이었던 운전석 전용 에어컨, 멀티펑션 운전석 시트를 모두 기본으로 적용했다.
