울진군, 제8회 울진금강송배 전국 동호인 배구대회 개최

이번 대회는 울진군민체육관과 흥부체육관 등 5개 경기장에서 진행되며, 전국 각지에서 모인 남·녀 동호인 49개 팀, 약 800여 명의 선수단이 참가해 예선리그와 토너먼트를 거쳐 최종 우승팀을 가린다. 생활체육인들에게는 기량을 겨루는 무대이자, 지역민과 관광객에게는 특별한 스포츠 축제가 될 전망이다.

‘함께 뛰고, 함께 즐기는 생활체육’을 주제로 열리는 이번 대회는 건강한 여가문화 확산, 지역 간 교류, 세대 간 화합을 도모하는 장으로 마련됐다. 특히 올해는 고등부 4개 팀이 참가해 청소년과 성인이 함께하는 세대 간 교류의 장이 될 것으로 기대된다. 청소년 특유의 패기와 에너지가 더해져 경기장의 열기를 한층 높일 전망이다.

손병복 울진군수는 “땀과 노력으로 갈고닦은 실력을 마음껏 펼쳐 좋은 성과를 거두시길 바란다”며 “울진의 멋과 맛을 즐기며 소중한 추억도 함께 담아가시기를 바란다”고 말했다.

한편, 울진군은 앞으로도 다양한 전국단위 스포츠대회를 지속적으로 유치해 스포츠 관광 활성화와 지역경제 기여는 물론, 스포츠 도시로서의 위상 강화에 힘쓸 계획이다.
